For almost 2 months I have been driving with a reserved windshield. I contacted UfaPlenka For subscribers of their blog on Drive2 they make a discount.
I want to share my impressions and observations.
How visible is the film?
Basically you can't see it at all. You can see it at certain angles and only because of the presence of a heated windshield. It also gives distortion if you wear polarized glasses while driving.
Justified, already saved from a couple of chips. The stones left marks on the film.
Yes, there are already a couple of small scratches visible from the outside at a certain angle. When driving, they are not visible and do not interfere.
How is the film holding up?
The film holds up well when allowed to dry. After the film has been pasted, the machine should stand in a dry room for at least a day. Which is exactly what I did. But the next day I had to go to the track and it was pouring rain. It rained for a couple more days and the car was outside. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice in time how the film under the wiper came off, the dirt didn’t get there and the guys from the service rolled everything back, but not perfect. There are no questions for the guys.
So it is better to let the film dry for a couple of days at least.
Are there bubbles?
There were bubbles, but within a couple of three weeks they were all gone. some were with air, some with water. Everything is ok with this.
Difficult to care for?
I try not to rub the wipers once again. If I turn on the wipers, then only with water. At a speed of 80-90 km / h, the water itself flies off the glass, there is a hydrophobic coating. You can not turn on the wipers at all if there is no traffic in front. Now I go to the car wash more often, but the better I think.
The video of how to glue was provided by the guys from the company.
The guys from UfaPlenka are great.
